Motion/Second to adopt agenda was made by Walter/Thomas and carried 3-0.

V.           Approval of Minutes – Regular Meeting 12/19/2017

 

Motion/Second to approve the minutes from the December 19, 2017 meeting was made by Thomas/Woods and carried 3-0.

  2. Financial Report

Motion/Second to approve the financial report for December 2017 was made by Walter/Thomas and carried 3-0.

c.       Increase in Water Rates- Effective 02/2018

Motion/Second to approve the first reading of a water rate increase of. 75 per 1000 on variable rate and no increase on the minimum rate was made by Woods/Walter and carried 3-0.

Motion/Second to approve the second reading of the Zebulon Police Department policies as listed above was made by Thomas/Walter and carried 3-0.

 

XII.      New Business

 

  • Election of Mayor Pro-Tern for 2017

 

Motion/Second to appoint Joe Walter as the Mayor Pro Temfor 2018 was made by Thomas/Woods and carried 3-0.

3)      Assignment of 2017 Council Department Appointments by the Mayor

 

Motion/Second to make the following council appointments was made by Thomas/Woods and carried 3-0:

David Woods-Water Department: Williams Thomas-Police Department: Dewey Yarbrough­ Admin: Joe Walter -Public Works Department.

4)      Appointment of City Clerk

Motion/Second to appoint Amanda Lollis as the City Clerk for 2018 was made by Walter/Thomas and carried 3-0.

 

 

XIII.        Executive Session – Personnel

 

 

Motion/Second to enter executive session was made by Walter/Woods and carried 3-0. Motion/Second to exit executive session was made by Walter/Thomas and carried 3-0.
